Description
Methuselah Green 2? is a strongly Phosphorescent probe, slightly less water soluble than Methuselah Green 1?. The Fluorescence band of Methuselah Green 2? can be excited 300-380 nm, with the Phosphorescence, T1, band excited 290-350 nm. The Phosphorescence emission is centred at ~ 530 nm, with a FWHM of ~ 90 nm. Methuselah Green 2? is a cationic probe with a Phosphorescence lifetime of ~ 320 ?S.
Methuselah Green 2? is sold dry and is simply reconstituted by adding water/MeOH/EtOH and/or buffer. One vial of this Phosphorescent probe will typically allow for 10 measurements to be undertaken, when further diluted into 3 cm

volumes within a cuvette.
For optimum performance, probe vials should be stored at -2 to -8 °C when not being used. Probe solutions should be used after dilution
