Description
Phos Yellow? is a highly phosphorescent organic probe which can be excited from 300-380 nm. In air equilibrated glycerol, the fluorescence emission occurs at ≈400 nm and the phosphorescence is centered ≈ 540 nm, with a fwhm of ≈100 nm. The phosphorescence lifetime in air equilibrated glycerol at 22 C (em = 525 nm) is ≈ 120 ?S. Phos Yellow? is re

ly soluble in methanol. ethanol and acetone.
Phos Yellow? is sold dry and is simply reconstituted by adding MeOH or EtOH or other suitable solvent. One vial of this probe will typically allow for 10 measurements to be undertaken:? 50 ?L of MeOH is typically added to each dry vial. Subsequently, ten 5 ?L aliquots diluted to 3 cm

(cuvette), will typically give an optical density > 0.05 at 320 nm (in spectroscopic MeOH).
For optimum performance, probe vials should be stored at -2 to -8 C when not being used. Probe solutions should be used after dilution.
