Description
Dual VpH? is a water soluble dual pH and viscosity probe, excitation 300-400 nm, and a viscosity dependent emission centered around 400 nm. The quantum yield is low in aqueous media (≈ 1 cP), but increases as the viscosity increases making it an ideal viscosity contrast probe.
Dual VpH? is sold dry and is simply reconstituted by adding water/MeOH/EtOH and/or buffer. One vial of our Viscosity Probe will typically allow for 10 measurements to be undertaken:? 50 ?L of water or MeOH and/or buffer is typically added to each dry vial. Subsequently, ten 5 ?L aliquots diluted to 3 cm

, typically give an optical density > 0.1 at 340 nm (in spectroscopic MeOH).
For optimum performance, probe vials should be stored at -2 to -8 °C when not being used. Probe solutions should be used after dilution.
