Basic FluoroSpot for enumeration of cells secreting TNF-α
The single-analyte FluoroSpot assay provides an ELISpot alternative with fluorescent detection instead of enzymatic. The assay enables enumeration of cells secreting human TNF-alpha (TNF-α). FluoroSpot
BASIC
(550) contains monoclonal capture and detection antibodies, a secondary fluorophore-conjugated detection reagent (SA-550) and a Fluorescence enhancer.
For analysis we recommend the use of an automated FluoroSpot reader equipped with a 550 nm excitation filter and a 570 nm emission filter (i.e. Cy3 equivalent).
Species cross-reactivity
The monoclonal antibodies in this kit cross-react with TNF-α from non-human primates. See the Human/NHP cross-reactivity table.

Analyte Information

TNF-α
Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α, also known as TNF-alpha, TNF-a, TNFa, and Tumor necrosis factor-alpha) is produced by many different cell types e.g. monocytes, macrophages, T cells and B cells. Among the many effects of TNF-α, are protection against bacterial infection, cell growth modulation, immune system regulation and involvement in septic shock.
