GAM is part of the control line and anti-species Gold Conjugate family.
This is a range of immunoglobulin binding antibodies conjugated to 40nm citrate coated gold nanoparticles to generate control line signals. It can also be easily used as a secondary label where a specific antibody conjugate may be considered too expensive or to screen multiple antibodies to help select the best preforming one for your assay.
BA.GAM40 can be used to bind monoclonal antibodies and make a gold labelled monoclonal antibody complex simply by mixing. Suitable for use in lateral flow devices and for other immunoassays.
It should be noted that as the antibodies are H+L specific, therefore, orientation of the detecting antibody may not be ideal. BBI have also worked with anti Mouse IgG(Fc) fragment specific antibodies and anti Rabbit IgG(Fc) fragment specific antibodies, thus providing the specific antibody in the correct orientation for maximum antigen binding; such conjugates are available through our custom conjugation service.
Suitable for use in lateral flow devices. It can be utilised in a range of matrices including whole blood, serum, urine, saliva and milk and can be dried down onto glass fibre/lyophilised easily without affecting its activity.

ended in a low molarity buffer 2mM disodium tetraborate buffer, pH9.0, containing 0.095% Sodium Azide as preservative. This buffer will maintain the activity of the antibody attached to the surface of the gold colloid, without causing particle aggregation, and can easily be substituted for a customers buffer of choice for their assay.
This product can be purchased online in 5ml volumes at OD10. For larger volumes, please discuss your requirements with our sales team.
