ly be used to prepare an amine-reactive version of Methuselah Green, which is ideal for the labelling of biomolecules, crosslinking, and solid-phase immobilization applications.
Methuselah Green Carboxy? has similar fluorescence / phosphorescence properties as Methuselah Green 2?, where both the fluorescence and phosphorescence bands of Methuselah Green 2? can be excited 290-350 nm with phosphorescence emission centered around 530 nm. The Phosphorescence lifetime of Methuselah Green Carboxy? is excitation wavelength dependent, ranging from 1671 ±6 ?S at 280 nm, to 1069±16 ?S when excited at 350 nm.
Similar to Methuselah Green 2?, Methuselah Green Carboxy? (-COOH) can be used for any kind of spectroscopy in addition to activating its carboxy group for coupling purposes.
Methuselah Green Carboxy? is supplied in a 1 mg lyophilized vial.
For optimum performance, probe vials should be stored at -2 to -8 °C when not being used.
