Specificity:
This enzyme releases α2-3, and α2-6 linked N-acetylneuraminic acid from complex carbohydrates. This enzyme will not efficiently cleave NeuAc α2-6 linked to N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) when the GalNAc is labeled with a fluorophore. For this application Sialidase A (
GK80040
) is recommended. ?
